A six-year-old girl died after being treated in a private dental clinic in Alzira (Valencia), while another minor, aged 4, treated in the same clinic, is hospitalized at the Clínico de València Hospital.
At 4.52pm this Thursday, a six-year-old girl was admitted in cardiopulmonary arrest to the emergency service of the Hospital de la Ribera, after having been treated that same morning in a private dental clinic, according to the report of the hospital’s emergency room manager.
Doctors attempted to resuscitate him without success and declared him “judicial death”, as sources from the Department of Health informed EFE. Previously, at 3.11pm, another 4-year-old girl, also hospitalized that morning at the same dental office, had gone to the same hospital with an episode of fever, vomiting and drowsiness.
After her stabilization and related evaluation, the doctors decided to transfer her from SAMU to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of the University Clinical Hospital of Valencia, where she remains hospitalized.
This Friday, the Inspection Service of the Department of Health opened an information file to clarify the circumstances of the incident and ordered the precautionary suspension of the activity of the dental clinic where the two girls had been treated.
