The firefighters of the Community of Madrid intervened on site shortly afterwards and finished putting out the fire. Emergency 112 medical staff transported the man in serious condition with burns to 90% of his body by helicopter and confirmed the woman’s death.
Agents of the Judicial and Scientific Police are investigating the incident, although sources from the Police Headquarters indicate that from the first investigations the fire originated in the same substandard house, located in the park, and that it may have been accidentally exploded by camping gas.
