Between irony and disbelief, Orelsan’s hilarious response to the clash with Mbappé

He waited two weeks before responding, but it was worth the wait. In a video posted on Instagram to explain the construction of the album and film, Orelsan responded implicitly, and with humor, to the dispute between himself and Kylian Mbappé.

I’m not talking about it for now, I’d rather think about it than react directly. I prefer to save my answers when they are mastered, in a good framework”. That’s Orelsan’s response to our microphone the day after the release of his new album Forward Flightand clash with Kylian Mbappé after the punchline “You will sink your city like Mbappé.”

Since then, the Caen rapper has let the storm pass, and we’re starting to think he’d rather “let this thing go.” It seems he doesn’t know much about it, as Orelsan recently posted a long video on Instagram explaining the construction of his album and the understanding he has about it.

I noticed that there are some people who don’t understand this album well“, he said in the first moments of the video. In the background, a photo of Kylian Mbappé appears stuck to the wall. “And I’m not targeting anyone in particular“, he then added ironically.

Subtly, the artist continues to explain how he shaped his album based on the film, and how the order of the songs was chosen. We can then think that a small rant about Mbappé would be the only thing in the video…

It’s a bad idea to get to know Orelsan which provides a new layer as it approaches Little Voicethe famous song in which he scratches the captain of the French team.

Therefore, what that little voice says is not my opinion… even though we are currently 10th in the National championship and we were recently knocked out of the Coupe de France by the Bayeux team.

Mockingly pointing out the truth of SM Caen’s plight, the criticism is fine, but to make the pill go down, Orelsan adds a nice touch of self-deprecation. “Want to know the level of the Bayeux team in football? This is their new recruit“. And the singer followed up with a video of his penalty miss during the Stream for Humanity charity match.

Will the singer and performer controversy end with this video? In any case, it’s a cleverly crafted response, and deserves to be expressed with a smile.
