BSW youth organization: BSW Youth Brandenburg starts – name of red line candidate

The new BSW youth association in Brandenburg was founded on Saturday in Brandenburg an der Havel. Coordinator Dominik Mikhalkevich, one of the two candidates for the country’s leadership, is part of the SPD coalition and BSW – but also see limitations.

“There is a coalition agreement and if it is fulfilled, then you can rule until the end,” Mikhalkevich told the German Press Agency. “But we have to make sure that none of the red lines that we have as BSW in terms of content are violated.” He gave the example of establishing a defense company. “If there are too many compromises, then you can gain a lot from the opposition.”

Candidate for Head of State: “Too much compromise is not good”

The 27-year-old man doesn’t necessarily think it makes sense to take part in government. “Of course, sometimes you have to compromise, but from the perspective of the younger generation, we say: too much compromise is not good for us as a party,” he said.

According to him, the youth alliance at BSW (JSW) currently has around 90 members. Mikhalkevich ran for chairman of state on the occasion of the founding of the youth association in Brandenburg an der Havel.

The second candidate is Jeff Bodo Zeige from the Märkisch-Oderland district. According to his own statement, he seeks to “advance security, peace and economic causes” as well as improvements in education policy. “We must not allow ourselves to be distracted by this SPD let’s make it small,” he wrote in his application.

BSW youth oppose military conscription

The BSW youth association wants to prevent progressive militarization and the possible reintroduction of conscription. “In times like these we also need it Brandenburg a violent youth movement,” the campaign plan said.

It should give voice to young people who want to live in a just country that relies on sensible economic policies, invests in education, develops rural areas and creates recreational activities suitable for young people, “rather than wasting billions of dollars on senseless wars”.

The coordinator expects cooperation from the group

BSW is currently in crisis in Brandenburg after four state lawmakers left the party and a dispute over state media contracts. Youth coordinator Mikhalkevich is confident that the group can continue to work together.

“The important thing is that the basis for cooperation must be the BSW program, our founding manifesto, our election program for Brandenburg,” he said. “You can’t simplify your content now.” He believes it was right for the federal executive council and a majority of lawmakers to oppose the government’s media deal to reform public broadcasting and provide greater protection for young people in the media.
