A special Christmas market will soon open in Wilmersdorf – but only for three days. What the Swedish market has to offer.

The Swedish Victorian Community is once again holding a Christmas bazaar on the first weekend of Advent in Berlin. The market takes place at Landhausstraße 26-28 in Berlin-Wilmersdorf.

Stalls sell Swedish crafts, Christmas blankets, Christmas decorations and Swedish food. According to the capital’s portal berlin.de, these include reindeer sausage, Glögg (Scandinavian grapes), Pytt i panna (Swedish potato pancake) and marzipan cake.

Queen of Light Lucia performs with the choir on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. In the Nordic countries, the Lucia Festival is associated with the winter solstice, after which the days become longer again.

The bazaar is open on Fridays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. The entry fee is two euros. Children up to twelve years old can enter for free. Like last year, the entire market will be held exclusively outdoors. Dogs are not allowed.

Visitors can reach the market by subway lines U7 and U9 (Berliner Straße station) and by bus lines 143 and M43.
