Eterea Iperleggera, ode to the analog world: dynamic sculpture at Milano AutoClassica

In Salone’s mosaic of lamps and metal Milan AutoClassicwhere each stand seems to preserve a piece of automotive history, its debut Very smooth it didn’t go unnoticed. This is a measured entry, but full of meaning: no special effects, just a prototype that speaks for itself. Called hyper light and is the latest creation from the new Italian brand founded by the car designer Andrea Di Buduoa name familiar to fans from the years spent between Bertone, Ford, Lincoln and Changan.

The philosophy behind the project is clear at first glance: bringing back lightness, craftsmanship and pure mechanical emotion. Not a simple restomod, but a step further, a concept that Eterea defines as “neolog”: reinterpreting the analog heritage without betraying it, transforming tradition into a contemporary narrative device. This is in contrast to the current state of affairs in a sector that is trending towards total electrification, digital interfaces and the increasing importance of safety and batteries.

Where does it come from?

The prototype on display was born on the platform Porsche 911 (964) Cabrioletnot a random choice: the 964 was a link between pure classicism and modernity, as it was still air-cooled but capable of a more advanced technical dialogue than the previous generation. From here begins a careful work of reduction: aluminum, carbon fiber, components redesigned or removed. The result is a total weight of 990 kg, a value currently almost exclusively reserved for the racing car world. The goal is one word: essentiality.

The engine remains a six-cylinder boxer air-cooled, in a complicated version, with interventions in the intake and exhaust that provide power at 300 HP. The weight/power ratio drops below 3.3 kg/hp, a figure that brings the Iperleggera closer to modern sports cars such as the Porsche Cayman GT4, while maintaining completely analog dynamics: no filters, no algorithms to correct the trajectory, no electronic mediation other than what is absolutely necessary.

Dynamic sculpture

For those looking for more, Eterea has now announced the arrival of 3.8 to 4.3 liter engines in 2026, more than 400 HP and torque above 400 Nm. A second chapter that expands the possibilities without changing the project philosophy. “Iperleggera is a dynamic sculpture“, explains Di Buduo. A term that may seem strict, but which has coherence if we consider the structure of the brand. Eterea was actually born from the collaboration of five Italian manufacturing companies – Antonicar, AURA(X), Mabert, Officine Guidi and Sifral Classic – which have been operating in prototyping, restoration and small series for many years.

The approach is tailor-made: each car is built by hand, following customer requests, following a flexible production model that resists standardization. The shopping experience is divided into two parallel paths. On the one hand digital, with Eterea Club, which offers an exclusive configurator and access is provided to the community. On the other hand, analogue, consists of visits, tests, direct meetings with craftsmen. A return to the physical connection with the car, with its materials.

Eterea Iperleggera spotted in Milan

Iperleggera can be previewed starting November 21st

2025, also at Milano AutoClassica, and available to purchase from spring 2026. In a sector that is racing towards total digitalization, Eterea chooses to slow down and give value to the analog world. Although lighter.
