The scene was horrifying, and came with a ton of questions. Thursday morning, the body of a second-year medical student in Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle) was found along the A33 motorway, the prosecutor’s office said. However, the cause of death remains to be clarified.
The victim, born in 2006, lives near the location where the body was found, near the toll road exit to Nancy Regional University Hospital (CHRU).
Plastic bag on your head
He returned on foot from a student evening, said the Nancy prosecutor’s office, confirming information from France 3 Lorraine.
“A plastic bag, like the one he was given on the shuttle he rented that night and borrowed, was found over his head, without any straps,” the judge said.
Possible collision with a vehicle
“Forensic doctors sent to the scene revealed the possibility of a collision with a vehicle,” he added. An autopsy was requested by prosecutors. An investigation has been opened into the offense of manslaughter committed by the driver of a land vehicle. According to police sources, the victim suffered a head injury.
