Turin, November 22 (askanews) – At the Turin Film Festival it is the day of Spike Lee, one of the most important American directors of the last decade, and in addition to presenting his latest film “Highest to Lowest”, in national preview and out of competition, which marks his fifth collaboration with Denzel Washington, he received the Stella della Mole award at the opening ceremony of this 43rd edition.
The photo shoot scene with “Ivan Drago”, actor Dolph Lundgren, famous for the scene from Rocky IV where he says “I’ll split you in two” to Stallone, a guest of the Festival and also awarded the Mole Star, was hilarious. Spike Lee strikes a fighting pose, simulating a fight in the ring, and Lundgren joins in.
The American director then also wanted to put an end to the issue that animates the debate in Italy: “I have nothing against Jannik Sinner, I just have great love and respect for him. Let him know”, he said, opening the press conference, referring to the Roland Garros final won by Carlos Alcaraz which he watched, cheering for the Spaniard, but was ignored by Sinner at the end of the match. A small scene that is currently making waves on social media. “They are two great champions, there is something to support, but I have nothing against Sinner, on the contrary, he is truly extraordinary, I admire him, and if I happened to meet him I would probably ask for his autograph or ask for a racket”.
