Matchday 11: Bayern celebrates a record comeback – drawing in a close duel

That FC Bayern thanks to Lennart Karl’s teenage football spree, he set his own Bundesliga record which is more than 50 years old. Accompanied by protests from fans in all matches against possible tightening of security measures at the stadium, Munich won 6-2 against SC Freiburg after an early 2-0 deficit.

Even though first place is safe, Bayern (31 points) have double reasons to rejoice after occupying first place in the Bundesliga standings for the 43rd consecutive matchday in all seasons. From March 1972 to June 1973 they achieved this under coach Udo Lattek.

Even before the break, Michael Olise (45+2) equalized – thanks to an assist from Karl, who is only 17 years old. And he wasn’t finished, but was involved in Harry Kane’s goal (60th). Defender Dayot Upamecano (55) also scored earlier. Nicolas Jackson (78) and Olise again (84) made the big win perfect.

Borussia Dortmund – VfB Stuttgart 3:3 (2:0)
