Threats began to emerge for several months already. The domestic help sector, boosted by measures introduced thanks to the Borloo law of 2005, fears a major reduction in public funding. Although the ongoing debate in the National Assembly on the financial bills (Budget and Social Security) is increasing these concerns, the fear of one of the branches – which brings together assistance for the elderly and the disabled – of a reduction in their resources is very visible.
The day after the National Home Conference, on 18 November, and ahead of the personal services exhibition (24 and 25 November), one of the four professional federations in the sector, Adedom, will publish an impact study carried out by specialist firms Eurogroup Consulting and Koreis, with the support of a scientific council, consisting of academics and departmental council representatives. Objective? Analyze the humanitarian and economic consequences of significant funding reductions.
