OWNBy November 21, 2025, 129,742 illegal migrants will arrive by sea in Southern Europe from North African countries. Three countries accounted for 95% of migrant arrivals: Italy (with 63,036 migrants), Spain (28,362) and Greece (35,919). The islands of Cyprus and Malta host 2,240 and 185 illegal migrants respectively. For comparison, by 2024, 190,088 people will arrive in the coastal countries of southern Europe.
