An envelope with a “nice blue stamp” arrived in Chiara’s mailbox in early November. “It makes me very happy: someone has written to me, rejoice the students here in Nice. I opened it and basically I saw: Eric Ciotti. This is so boring.” Recipient’s disappointment. The letter was addressed “for you, members of the Italian community” of which Chiara, a dual citizen, is indeed a member.
Months before the March municipal elections, Eric Ciotti isn’t giving up. Before facing his best enemy, Christian Estrosi (Horizon), candidate for the UDR, an ally of the RN, wrote a letter to certain citizens of Nice. An expensive and time-consuming election technique, it allows better targeting compared to other distribution methods, such as towing on public roads or packaging public leaflets. It was also a way, by returning to writing, to align with the conservative values Eric Ciotti holds so dear.
