After nine days in prison, he was permanently deported. A 26-year-old Australian citizen was permanently banned from entering Singapore this Sunday, November 23 after jumping singer Ariana Grande on the sidelines of a preview of the film “Wicked: Part 2” on November 13.
Nicknamed “Pajama Mann” on Instagram and accustomed to disrupting big events, Johnson Wen was deported to Australia this Sunday “and prohibited from returning to Singapore,” the city-state’s immigration authorities said in a statement cited by the CNA channel.
A man “seeking attention”
At the opening night of the highly anticipated “Wicked” sequel on Nov. 13, Wen jumped over the barrier and managed to hug the 32-year-old. He was arrested several hours later and charged with “disturbing public order.” According to the Singapore district judge who handed down the prison sentence, the Australian was an “attention-seeking” type.
Johnson Wen, who allegedly disrupted other sporting events and international concerts, “exhibited a pattern of behavior” that suggested he would do it again, the judge said. Facing up to three years in prison and a fine of 2,000 Singapore dollars (around 1,300 euros), he ultimately received only nine days in prison, before being released this Sunday.

Cynthia Erivo’s attitude received a lot of praise
There were no casualties in this incident, but Ariana Grande was a little surprised. He was comforted by his aides present by his side, including Michelle Yeoh, who plays Madame Morrible, and Jeff Goldblum, in the role of the Wizard of Oz.
The reaction of Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba in “Wicked: Part 2,” received widespread praise on social media. The actress immediately stepped between the 32-year-old star and the intruder after seeing him arrive on the yellow carpet at Universal Studios in Singapore.
