A new day of violence in Genoa, where anti-fascist groups gathered yesterday to “shut down fascist hideouts” and the local headquarters of CasaPound came under fire. Police, alerted to possible clashes, were deployed to prevent the two sides from making contact and becoming targets of violence by radical left groups.
“Last night, officers were pelted with bottles, stones and other blunt objects, causing several of them to seek treatment for their injuries. A number of vehicles were also damaged“, said the complaint from the Sap union.
