Snow ice: when young people and the city police get into a snowball fight in Val-Fourré

The countryside was still completely white this Sunday morning in the Oise, Val-d’Oise, Yvelines and Essonne, traces of the last of the snow that fell overnight and quickly melted on Sunday morning due to mild weather.

Snow fell in abundance west and north of the Ile de France, creating an unusual sight in Mantes-la-Jolie, at night from Saturday to Sunday. At around 01.00, when Val-Fourré was whitening, residents could see young people having a snowball fight with city police officers on patrol.

The scene, filmed and broadcast on Facebook and TikTok, was a hit. And this received positive comments from netizens.

“Nice to see, that’s the cop from my childhood,” said one follower. “Too funny,” judged another, while a third thought it was “a good delirium, if not out of line.” »

Mayor (DVD) Raphaël Cognet was “happy that this happened, that the city police could have a moment of engagement with young people. It started with a young man throwing a snowball, telling the police: What if we fight? Boring, lasts five minutes, in good spirits. It was truly a moment of engagement, hilarious and timeless. »

Five people were poisoned in Poissy

In the rest of Île-de-France, bad weather brings more than just happy consequences. However, the number of injury crashes observed was limited.

In Poissy, still in Yvelines, firefighters intervened at around 11 p.m. for carbon monoxide poisoning at home. Five people had to be immediately transported to Poissy hospital, victims of this odorless and highly toxic gas.

In the Oise, bad weather combined with an overtaking maneuver could have been the cause of a head-on collision that left six people injured, on the D 137, near Cambronne-lès-Clermont (Oise).
