The man who stabbed a 35-year-old woman on Saturday evening in the square in front of the victim’s house, Parco Cerqua di Qualiano, Naples area, was arrested in the evening. The person who hit her was her ex-boyfriend, 29 years old, RS, whom the woman had reported and was therefore under house arrest with the electronic bracelet. Carabinieri from the Radiomobile Giugliano section managed to identify the man thanks to the testimony of the victim, GT, and with the help of images from surveillance cameras in the area. He was taken to hospital in a dying state, struck with at least 8 blows, which were very close to vital organs. He is out of danger of his life, saved by a miracle, but remains hospitalized under code red in the intensive care unit of San Giuliano di Giugliano hospital.
The man broke his electronic bracelet: when the alarm went off because he had moved away from his home in Calvizzano, where he was under house arrest, the police found no one. It was at that time that the operations center received reports of an attack in progress in Qualiano, a municipality not too far from Calvizzano. There, in the square in front of Parco Quercia, he attacked her repeatedly, also hitting her on the head.
The 29-year-old man was under house arrest because of the abuse, and it was the victim who reported it last spring. The 35-year-old man filed the complaint after being followed and chased by the 29-year-old man from the northern province of Naples to Marcianise, in the province of Caserta. The 35-year-old man sought refuge at a police station and filed a complaint, triggering a code red.
