Fighting continues in Ukraine despite American plans and the increasingly real risk for Kiev of being abandoned by its main ally, Donald Trump, who implicitly warned Volodymyr Zelensky about what could happen if he does not accept the proposed resolution. US support, if it fails, will cause a chain effect and reaction in the Ukrainian camp. First of all, the cessation of supplies of weapons systems such as the Atacms and Himars tactical missiles, as well as the Patriot fundamental air defense system. Furthermore, according to what Davide Bartoccini reconstructed in Il Giornale, access to information and intelligence tools was useful for Kiev’s troops on a daily basis along more than 1200 kilometers of front line.

Then there is the Russian question: officially Putin on his own turf continues to reject the 28-point plan – the American plan – because everyone considers it “not enough”. If we listen to the propaganda and read the latest reports published by analysts from the Institute of War Studies, internally Moscow says that it wants harsher conditions such as retaining the hitherto occupied and annexed territories, recognition of Crimea and a ban on Kiev joining NATO. But even though negotiations appear to have stalled for the time being, Russia is starting to move forward. Having lost important territory in Pokrovsk, Ukrainian ground forces, despite the intervention of Gur intelligence and commandos, remained in the pocket in Myrnohrad.

According to Kiev, its soldiers “repulsed Russian attempts to conquer Kupyansk”, while Russian military sources stated that the city had also fallen into their hands. Conditions in Kiev, despite assurances from the Ukrainian high command, appear increasingly desperate. If the peace plan drawn up by Washington is rejected, Zelensky may have to rely on the military support of European countries and Britain’s sole intelligence capabilities. Very few were able to resist Moscow’s war machine.
