The entire Spanish royal family: They gather for the first time since 2018

Big reunion with Spanish royals: For the first time in seven years, the royal family gathered to meet. They gathered with some of the former Greek royal family at El Pardo Palace in Madrid. According to the Spanish “Hola!”, the event was a lunch held to mark the 50th anniversary of the restoration of the Spanish monarchy. The focus is also on the recent award of Queen Sofia (87) with the Order of the Golden Fleece.

Next to King Felipe VI. and Queen Letizia, their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, also attended the meeting. Former King Juan Carlos I even left exile in Abu Dhabi because of this. Old Queen Sofia also appears. Juan Carlos and Sofia’s other grandchildren were also there: Felipe Juan and Victoria Federica de Marichalar as well as Juan, Pablo, Miguel and Irene Urdangarin – all of Leonor and Sofía’s cousins. King Felipe’s sisters, Infanta Elena and Infanta Cristina, also appear. According to the Spanish news portal “Vanitatis”, Juan Carlos is said to be insisting on holding a full family reunion.

The Spanish nobles were joined by members of the former Greek royal family. According to “Gala”, former Queen Anne-Marie arrived with her children Prince Pavlos and Princess Marie-Chantal as well as their children Olympia, Constantine-Alexios, Achileas, Odysseas and Aristides. Princess Alexia appeared with her husband Carlos Morales and their four children. The group was complemented by Prince Nikolaos and his wife Princess Chrysi, Princess Theodora and her husband Matthew Kumar and Prince Philippos and his partner Nina Flohr.

The Spanish royal family last appeared in this line-up at Queen Sofia of Spain’s 80th birthday event. On November 2, 2018, former King Juan Carlos, King Felipe and Queen Letizia, Infanta Elena and Infanta Cristina as well as Sofia’s eight grandchildren were present on the occasion.
