15-year-old Laurent Simons from Belgium earned a doctorate in quantum physics from the University of Antwerp. “I’m probably the youngest person in the world to get a doctorate,” he told the Het Laatste Nieuws newspaper.
He began his academic career at the age of ten. While his friends continued on to high school, he began his studies at university. Laurent wants to continue studying and pursue a doctorate in medicine with a focus on artificial intelligence.
