The number of Palestinians killed in… Gaza war could be much higher than previously estimated. According to calculations by a team of researchers at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock, at least 100,000 people appear to have died or been killed in the war that lasted more than two years. The research results are available to ZEIT. “We will never know for sure the true number of deaths,” said Irena Chen, one of the project leaders. “We’re just trying to estimate as best we can what the magnitude might be.”
