Jason Bourne Missions: A Glimpse into the Story

Jason Bourne, actually David Webb, was living in hiding in the Greek countryside until Nicky Parsons showed up with hacked CIA data on secret programs like Treadstone and Blackbriar. Their meeting in Athens escalates into a chaotic street protest, joined by CIA Director Dewey and analyst Heather Lee.

In Berlin, Bourne decrypts the data and discovers new truths about his father Richard Webb. The trail leads to a personal reckoning as a dangerous assassin hunts her and old feuds resurface.

The “Jason Bourne” franchise grossed $1.6 billion

Director Paul Greengrass once again delivers fast-paced live action with his trademark shaky cam and current topics like surveillance and data espionage. Despite the familiar ingredients, the film seems fresh and consistently pushes the Bourne mythos further.

Matt Damon’s return proved successful: “Jason Bourne” grossed more than $400 million worldwide and underscored the continued strength of the franchise. At the same time, the film marked a clear decision to put Damon’s character back at the center and thus bring the series back to its roots. In total, the franchise’s five films grossed more than $1.6 billion, making it one of the most successful action series alongside “James Bond.”
