On Monday morning, a person was hit by a train on the railway line connecting Milan and Venice, between Lonato and Desenzano: traffic came to a standstill and many trains, including high-speed trains, were late (here is a detailed list of delays and cancellations of the affected trains). Delays of up to two hours, replacement buses and alternative routes have been arranged, and an investigation is underway by police at the scene. There is no information yet regarding the state of the investment.
