Milan, 24 November (Adnkronos) – The number of women reporting being victims of violence is increasing and especially abuse within the family is increasing: +30% in three years. This is the data provided by the Milan Prosecutor’s Office ahead of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Domestic violence increased from 2,373 to 3,126, an absolute difference from the recorded number of 753. Stalking was essentially stable (1,498), while complaints of revenge pornography crimes decreased (134).

Chronologically, we remember the murder of Amina Sailouhi who was killed by her husband in front of her youngest daughter on May 3 in Settala, the crime of Jhoanna Nataly Quintanilla who was killed by her partner and hidden in a bag that was later found in the countryside of Cassano d’Adda, the story of Sueli Leal Barbosa who threw herself out of the window to escape the flames that her partner had set in the apartment; to the latest case of female murder Pamela Genini, 29 years old, stabbed to death in front of her house by her ex-boyfriend and Luciana Ronchi, 62 years old, killed by her ex-boyfriend.
