YouTube star Jan Zimmermann, known for her channel «Rain storm in the head,” was dead. Police in Bonn confirmed this when asked. The 27-year-old man was found dead in an apartment in Königswinter on November 18. The newspaper “Bild” previously reported. According to the police, there is no evidence of foul play in the death.
Zimmermann is one of the most famous German internet stars. The YouTube channel “Gewitter im Kopf” has almost two million subscribers. Zimmermann later reported on his life with Tourette’s syndrome – a neuropsychiatric disease that manifests itself in so-called tics. Tics are involuntary movements, vocalizations, or even words that the sufferer can only control to a certain extent. This can also include unintentional insults.
Be educated about Tourette’s Syndrome
Together with his friend Tim Lehmann, Zimmermann raised awareness about Tourette’s and entertained many people. She affectionately calls the syndrome “Gisela,” and many of the videos are both funny and educational. “Our goal is to talk about it openly, with humor, but also objectively, so that it is more real and easier for everyone to understand,” the two friends explained their mission. His followers also learned, among other things, how Zimmermann was successfully treated with brain surgery. The duo returned from a long hiatus on social media a few months ago.
Some videos from “Thunderstorm in the Head” have been viewed millions of times – for example the video of the trip to Cologne Zoo. Other social media channels “Gewitter im Kopf” also have a high number of subscribers.
