State Lottery and Casino Administration spokesperson Bavaria to BILD: “The fact that five players were able to win the first prize category in the Eurojackpot simultaneously has only happened twice before. Almost exactly seven years ago, on November 16 2018, five players from Germany, Finland, Italy and Spain also shared the jackpot of 90 million.” The five-event victory occurred for the first time a year earlier, on January 9 2017.

This is how Eurojackpot works
That Euro Jackpots played in 19 European countries. Every Tuesday and Friday in Helsinki (Finland), five out of 50 possible winning numbers and two Euro numbers between 1 and 12 are drawn.
The goal is to type as many previously drawn numbers as possible. Each draw offers at least 10 million euros to the winner. The maximum possible jackpot is 120 million euros. The odds of winning are 1:140 million.
