Chinese President Xi Jinping and American President Donald Trump spoke by telephone on Monday, November 24, the official Xinhua news agency reported. Xi Jinping convinced Donald Trump that both countries should do this “keeping the momentum in their relationship” after their meeting in October in South Korea.

Donald Trump and Xi Jinping met in October, in Busan, South Korea, for the first time since 2019, and engaged in intense discussions, amid the trade war between the two countries. The fight between the world’s two largest economies, covering everything from rare earth metals to soybeans to port duties, has rocked markets and disrupted supply chains for months.
According to Monday’s exchange report, Xi Jinping also informed Donald Trump about the meeting “success” Busan has contributed “generating momentum in the constant movement of the giant ship of Sino-American relations”reported Xinhua News. “Since the Busan meeting, Sino-US relations have generally remained stable and continued to improve, which has received widespread praise from both countries and the international community,” added Xi Jinping.
