There are certainties but also many questions in the mystery surrounding death Liliana Resinovich. One of the certainties concerns her discovery, which occurred on January 5, 2022, two weeks after her disappearance, in the woods near a former psychiatric hospital in Trieste: the woman was partially wrapped in cloth. black bagwhile his head was wrapped in two transparent shopping bags tied with loose string. The two black bags were of different sizes: one measuring 106 by 75 centimeters, the other 100 by 70 centimeters, both without footprints – there was talk of possible gloved footprints, which turned out to be the texture of Resinovich’s trousers.
But where do those bags that Lilly never uses at home come from? The answer – to be verified by investigators – could come from the testimony of a pizza chef from Trieste, Alfonso Buonocorewho, meeting the widower – the only person under investigation for his wife’s murder – Sebastiano Visitinwould tell him, as reported by Il Piccolo di Trieste, that Resinovich would ask him for two bags a few months before he disappeared. Buonocore, whose testimony Visintin will record, said that he also remembered what the couple were eating when the woman asked him for the first sack, and said that he had remained silent until now because “then a police friend informally advised me to mind my own business and stay away from this story”.
Other testimonies were reported by Messaggero Veneto and Mattino di Padova. “He asked if I could sell him one of the black bags. I took one and she put it in her bag before her husband arrived“, explained Buonocore referring to Resinovich. The pizza chef will meet the woman when he pitchesrubbishand the next day Resinovich would ask him for another sack: “I invited him into the place because it was cold, I offered him coffee and gave him another bag. He wanted to pay me 50 cents, but I told him I’d put it on Sebastiano’s bill. He asked me not to tell anyone about it”.
Now investigators must verify this information, starting from the name of the alleged suspect police who would advise restaurant owners to avoid this problem. Not only that: the circumstances of the narrative are also unusual. It’s not just the demand for bags that are sold everywhere, but also confidentiality asked the pizza chef. And finally the biggest question: if the two donated bags were part of the same batch, why did the bag on Resinovich’s body have it? different sizes?
If the testimony can be proven, there is a possibility thatsuicide hypothesiswas initially investigated by investigators, who had long believed that Liliana Resinovich’s crime was a homocide.
Doubts also came from the legal team Federica Obizzi who helped Liliana’s niece, Veronika Resinovich:”Whenever something is even slightly important, there is always someone or something trying to turn things around. A strange, anomalous, absurd thing, which of course makes someone think of a construction. Why does this statement appear after all this time? And why not do it at the police station or at the prosecutor’s office? Two days ago the Supreme Court rejected the third autopsy request. From a technical point of view, these statements should have been submitted first to the Prosecutor’s Office and then, if applicable, to the media, as an investigation into the murder was underway. The fact that someone went and told the story to the newspapers and to the suspect himself still raises doubts”.
In the last few days Supreme Court refused the request for a third party expert opinion, to resolve the differences between the first medical legal consultation conducted by
Fulvius Costantinida and the second, collegial, is carried out by a team led by a pathologist Cristina Cattaneo. The first consultation chose suicide, the second consultation chose murder.
