The singer created a touching moment on the “Giovanni Zarrella Show.” Even days later, Nicole was still touched by his appearance.

It was an emotional performance: On Saturday evening, Giovanni Zarrella hosted a music show named after him on ZDF for the 20th time. The host celebrated his anniversary with the motto “We say thank you” and focused on the people who enriched the past year with special moments.

But prominent guests also had the opportunity to express their thanks. Pop star Nicole used her performance to greet an important colleague: Ralph Siegel. In 1982, together with songwriter Bernd Opinioner, he composed the song “A Little Peace” for 17-year-olds – with which he won Germany’s first victory at the Eurovision Song Contest.

“We have written music history,” Nicole said from the stage to Ralph Siegel sitting in the audience. He added tearfully: “Thank you for the song of the century, which spoke from the hearts of many with the same intensity as it does now.” The 61-year-old performed “A Little Peace” again – and then collapsed into Ralph Siegel’s arms in tears.

The composer also seemed touched and hugged the singer tightly with wet eyes. A moment that evoked incredible emotions, and not just that night. “It’s taken me the last few days to process all of this,” the singer wrote on Instagram and shared several photos featuring herself with Ralph Siegel, among others.

“The performance on the ‘Giovanni Zarrella Show’ was very special for me – played live, sung live, full of real emotion,” concluded the 61-year-old and emphasized the warmth of the presenter and his team. Nicole also greeted Ralph Siegel again and thanked him “for his respect, his words, and the special relationship that has accompanied us for so long.”

She was overwhelmed with the reactions and many beautiful messages from her fans. “You showed me how much music can trigger,” the singer emphasized and finally added: “I will remember this moment in my heart for a long time.”
