The statement of the alleged organizer of the child kidnapping on the block weighed heavily on the mother and her lawyer. Israel claimed to public prosecutors that it paid several hundred thousand euros for the campaign.

According to a report, the alleged kidnapper in Block’s case received around 220,000 euros for bringing the children back from Denmark. The alleged organizer of the campaign, David B., reported this in an interrogation lasting several days in the prosecutor’s office, the newspapers “Zeit” and “Bild” reported, citing interrogation minutes.

The Block family’s lawyer, Andreas C., handed over a total of 150,000 euros to one of his employees, the 68-year-old Israeli reported. He himself received an additional 50,000 euros in cash from it. According to him, the defendant Christina Block was also said to have personally handed over money to him. From this he received 20,000 euros in small notes.

The interrogation protocol for the alleged organizer of the Blok child kidnapping reached 327 pages. B. specifically alleged that C.’s attorney and the children’s mother, Christina Block, was a client of the campaign and had paid appropriate fees.

According to the report, the former Israeli military officer, who worked in cyber security, also spied on her ex-husband Stephan Hensel and the children he was caring for in Denmark before the kidnapping. These observations are said to be carried out with binoculars, drones and cameras that record into the house unnoticed. The resulting images were also known to Christina Block and C.’s attorneys, B. claimed in his statement to the public prosecutor.

Neither Block nor C. commented on the allegations when asked by the “Bild” newspaper. “In response to your email, we ask for your understanding that, as before, our client will not comment outside the court process,” explained attorney C.

Defense attorney Christina Block said in a statement to the newspaper that it was disheartening that the district attorney’s office heard a witness after the main trial had begun without notifying the court and the defense. “From a weapons equality standpoint, their information advantage should now be equalized – if that is still possible,” Bott said. The principle of presumption of innocence remains valid. “The trial is held in the main court. That’s the only place the defendant and defense attorney have the opportunity to answer. That’s the only place,” explained the defense attorney.

The trial of Christina Block has been going on in the Hamburg Regional Court for several months. She was charged by prosecutors with ordering the kidnapping of children aged 10 and 13 at the time from the care of her ex-husband Hensel on New Year’s Eve 2023/2024. Apart from him, six other people were also charged. The process is currently stalled and is scheduled to resume on December 10. According to the court, this should allow the defense to adequately examine and evaluate B.’s statements.
