Following a medical emergency during a second division match in Düsseldorf, the affected fan of 1. FC Magdeburg died. Both football clubs announced this and expressed their condolences to relatives and friends.
An emergency intervention in the stands occurred on Saturday before kick-off. After “immediate rescue measures were initiated,” the spectator was taken to hospital in critical condition and later died there.
Düsseldorf won the match 2-1 (1-0) against bottom-placed Magdeburg. But sport is a minor problem. During the game, the fan camp agreed to stop supporting the game.
