This number has increased by five people in one year. In addition, 318 were due to travel accidents and 215 due to work-related illnesses. Thus, the total number of workers who died due to or as a result of their professional activities in 2024 amounted to 1,297 people, or ten more people than in 2023. This data is partial: health insurance only covers the sector of private companies and does not include civil servants, farmers and self-employed people in its calculations.
