Some examples: from Rome to Catania, between December 20 and 22, the journey costs less stopover in Malta. On December 23, visit Brindisi, then to Sofia and finally to Catania. Same thing from Palermo, take a plane to Cheers or a Naples. This is a “no-nonsense” solution, convenient at a cost of a few euros but requiring hours of waiting at the airport.

The situation from Milan

From Milan – therefore Orio al Serio, Malpensa or Linate – prices are higher. From December 20, direct flights to Palermo and Catania start from 155 euros; for Cagliari from 65 euros (but there is less choice than those departing from Rome, so prices can “increase”); to Olbia from 60 euros; for Alghero from 110 euros.

The high price of getting to Sicily brings a solution with a stopover. In this case, you can really save something, just under a hundred euros. On December 20, a trip from Milan to Palermo costs a total of 95 euros if you stop by Warsaw (compared to 155 on direct flights). However, from Milan to Catania, with a stopover at Malta You spend 86 euros (compared to 161 for a direct flight).

For other airports in the South, not on the islands, the minimum price exceeds one hundred euros just to visit Lamezia Terme (starting from 140 euros). Other solutions, such as Bari, Naples And Cheers the price ranges between 70 and 100 euros.

Turin-Palermo, a route that costs at least 200 euros

Those departing from Turin spent more money. The minimum fee for Palermo, from 20 December onwards, is around 200 euros. This is the worst route, as the one-way price exceeds 180 euros on December 16.
