Another difficult morning for Ile-de-France motorists this Tuesday. At 08:30, Sytadin, the government’s reference site for road traffic in Île-de-France, showed a cumulative traffic jam of 430 km across the network. An incredible rate that continues to get worse: before 9am, the mileage reaches 500 km, putting the morning above the red curve.
The cause: a series of accidents that paralyzed the main route to the capital. No less than seven incidents were recorded between 07.28 and 08.31, which led to lane closures and gradual reductions in speed.
A series of dark accidents
On the A3, the main axis coming from the east, two light vehicles and one heavy goods vehicle collided at around 8am between Rosny and Romainville in Seine-Saint-Denis. The crash required the closure of three of the five lanes on the left.
Moments earlier, at 07:28, another collision between a light vehicle and a heavy goods vehicle occurred on the A103, between Villemomble and Rosny, blocking one of the two lanes on the right.
South of Paris, the A6B is also experiencing difficulties. At 08.30, an accident involving a light vehicle and a heavy goods vehicle blocked one of three lanes between Wissous and Fresnes.
To the west, on the A12 at Yvelines, two light vehicles collided at 8am between Fontenay-le-Fleury and Rocquencourt, closing two of the four lanes on the left.
The ring road also did not escape attention. At 08.21, there was a crash near Bagnolet, on the inside of the A3, closing one lane to two.
Finally, on the A1, an injury accident involving a light vehicle and a motorbike occurred at 8:30 am in Saint-Denis, reducing traffic to one of three lanes.
