Six people were killed in a Russian night attack on Kyiv. At the same time, America was negotiating a peace plan with Russia and Ukraine to end the war.

During the latest peace talks, Ukraine and Russia said they each recorded several deaths from the other’s attacks on Tuesday. The military government in Kiev said six people were killed in Russia’s nighttime attack on the capital.

Three people were killed in a Ukrainian attack on Russia’s Growth region, the local governor said. Meanwhile, Ukrainian supporters want to discuss the peace process in a video conference on Tuesday.

Night explosions in Kyiv

In Kiev, according to the head of the military administration, Timur Tkachenko, six people were killed and at least three others were injured in a Russian night attack. According to Tkachenko, the attack included attacks on a residential building in the eastern Dniprovsky district.

Journalists from the AFP news agency heard a powerful explosion in the evening and saw people rushing to emergency shelters. The Air Force issued a missile warning for the entire country via the online service Telegram.

Russia also reported large-scale attacks

At least three people were killed in Ukrainian attacks on Russia’s Growth region, according to the local governor. The governor of the neighboring Krasnodar region also announced attacks that he described as one of the “most massive”.

Criticism of the US peace plan

This latest attack comes amid diplomatic efforts to end the war in Ukraine. Delegations from the United States, Ukraine and several European countries, including Germany, held talks in Geneva on Sunday on the 28-point plan presented by America.

The original version of the plan required Ukraine to make painful concessions, such as ceding vast territories in eastern Ukraine to Moscow, some of which Russia had not conquered, limiting troop numbers and not becoming a member of NATO. The initial plans were largely in line with Moscow’s main demands.

Ukraine demands improvements

Therefore, Ukraine and its allies are pushing for a revision of the US plan in Geneva. After the talks in Switzerland, Kiev and its European partners talked of progress, but said they still saw much work to be done.

Russia on Monday rejected a proposed European counter to US plans for Ukraine as “unconstructive.”
