In France, right-wing groups are the second largest potential terrorist group after jihadist movements. This was detailed by Olivier Christen, national counter-terrorism prosecutor, days before the anniversary of the November 13 attacks. Faced with this threat, the prison administration-dependent Mission to Combat Violent Radicalization commissioned a report from historian Nicolas Lebourg, which includes a large sample of 104 people arrested since 2017 for acts of extreme right-wing violence – terrorist or not. What is the profile of right-wing prisoners? How did they become radical? We talked about it with Pierre Plottu and Maxime Macé, journalists from the Frontal unit, in the second part of the program.
