Four more people were arrested today, Tuesday November 25, by the Paris Prosecutor’s Office for the sensational robbery at the Louvre on October 19 when a gang stole the French Royal jewels by mocking all security systems and carrying out a theft so simple and dramatic it shocked France.

Who was detained?

Those arrested were two men aged 38 and 39 years and two women aged 31 and 40 yearsall came from the French capital region, said Paris’ chief prosecutor, Laure Beccau.

Three other people with criminal records have been arrested in recent weeks for the theft, thanks to DNA found inside the elevator basket the thieves used to reach the window, break the glass and enter the museum.

Jewel mystery

However, the complete mystery still remains regarding the end of eight stolen jewels with invaluable historical value, which, if sold as simple valuables, could fetch up to 88 million euros on the market.
