Rome, 25 November (Adnkronos Salute) – “This is a very important event for the Local Health Authority and for all Tuscan and Italian healthcare companies, because we are faced with major changes. The healthcare service and the Local Health Authority of Southeast Tuscany will have to learn to provide a new response to changing health needs. In this context, in fact, our company will present the ‘Cantiere Sanità’ stage, which on a small scale is our ongoing reform”. This was stated by Marco Torre, general director of the company USL Toscana Sud Est, at the 20th edition of the Risk Management Forum, which runs until November 27 in Arezzo.
“The issue of information and involvement of citizens is essential to enable a more appropriate use of resources and provision of health services, but also to start changing their behavior – explains Torre – From next year we will activate, starting from the central community houses per region, territorial health services, in the implementation of Ministerial Decree No. 77 of 23 May 2022. We firmly believe that the needs, suitability and outcomes of citizens are at the center”.
“Staff also play an important role as agents of change in the health service, faced with the changes that must be faced – observes Torre – There is no longer a single man or woman in charge, we play for success every day, on the wards, in the operating room or in the office. The 10-11 thousand inhabitants of our local health authority must act, feel responsible, also have the freedom to make mistakes and live in a context where they feel part of providing new answers to these changing needs. We will also invest heavily in training – he assured – but we requires energy, curiosity and creativity from each of us.”
