Milan, November 25 (Adnkronos) – The ‘Una notte a Cadorna’ project, which last September 20 transformed Milan Cadorna station into an open-air evening cinema, was awarded silver at the Bea Italia-Best awards 2025 in the ‘Cost-effective event’ category. This initiative was initiated by the Giffoni innovation center and promoted by Fnm with the aim of stimulating a change in the perception of the station: from a functional place to a place to live.
The event aims to improve everyday transit spaces, turning them into places of culture and participation, strengthening the perception of Fnm as an innovative company close to society, communicating the Group’s ability to interpret mobility as a social experience, not just an infrastructure experience. The initiative also aims to raise ‘awareness’, strengthen institutional links and, most importantly, engage new audiences, especially young people and creative communities, creating a model of cultural and urban regeneration. The centerpiece of ‘Una notte a Cadorna’ is a program of thematic short films dedicated to the night and the journey, two complementary dimensions of movement: the physical, the interior and the symbolic. The works selected by the Giffoni Hub tell of distance, transit, hope and encounter, providing a new view of the meaning of travel and the space of trains themselves.
“The white night of short films at Cadorna station in Milan – explains Luca Montani, Fnm director of communications and external relations – is an unprecedented event and not only for Fnm”. It was “a real test for the city, for Ferrovienord and for all our partners”. And “in this trial, the Giffoni innovation center has made a difference due to its competence, effectiveness, interaction with authors and directors, and impeccable management. The news of the silver medal at BEA – he added – is undoubtedly great news, of which we can be proud. This commits us to continue with determination in the progressive transformation of the station into a real meeting place with the community (also a true calling). Andrea Gibelli (president of Fnm, ed.) will talk about ‘connection motivation’, Pier Antonio Rossetti (president Ferrovienord, ed.) on renewal of the social and cultural role of these extraordinary places I would also like to thank all the colleagues who managed the technical and organizational complexity of this unique event”.
