A fire broke out in a warehouse in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district which contained, among other things, highly flammable materials such as gas bottles and fertilizer. Because there was a risk of explosion, firefighters set fire to the entire warehouse in the town of Crivitz in a controlled manner, police said. Residents received information about the fire that had been burning since Tuesday night and that there was a risk of explosion. However, no one had to be evacuated and there were no injuries.
Firefighters continued to work throughout the night to prevent the fire from spreading to other buildings. Information regarding the cause of the fire has not yet been obtained.
