Regine Hildebrandt Prize
Credit to Grandmas Against Right and music projects
They want to speak out against hate speech and violence or commit to integration and equal opportunity. All award winners are committed to helping others.
The Grandmas Against Right initiative and the music project Saxon will receive this year’s Regine Hildebrandt Prize from the SPD today (6pm) in Berlin. The party honors projects that specifically represent the values of the social democrat Regine Hildebrandt, who died in 2001. A prize named after her is awarded on the anniversary of the politician’s death.
Members from Potsdam and Bamberg were honored by the Grandmas Against Right initiative because, as mentioned, they are deeply committed to their cities. On their initiative, the Brandenburg Network was created this year in the capital of the state of Brandenburg, and they are also actively involved in the alliance “Potsdam Shows Color” and the Brandenburg Action Alliance. Rightist grandmothers in Bamberg regularly remember the victims of National Socialism.
Dresden’s Musaik Project is recognized for its commitment to children and young people. It promotes integration, equal opportunities and self-confidence through shared music creation.
