Collective labor agreement professional studies are based on a rich bilateral system: Cadiprof, for additional health services; Ebipro, a wellness tool; Fondoprofessioni, a reality promoted by social partners that helps training, skills growth and professional re-qualification in studies.

It is an integrated system of benefits and protection “capable of combining social protection, welfare and quality of work”, explains the Observatory of the Liberal Professions, the research structure of the Confprofessioni.

Health services

Cadiprof represents the ultimate tool integrative health wellbeing for workers in professional companies (now extended to their companies as well family members). Between 2017 and 2024, Cadiprof’s activities record a significant increase, both in terms of the number of services provided and the economic resources allocated for reimbursement. The overall volume of services increased from more than 200 thousand interventions in 2017 to almost 285 thousand in 2024 it will increase by 37 percent. Chief among these were visits and diagnostic tests, which also accounted for the largest share in terms of expenditure, at 11.6 million. Cadiprof’s total billings rose from 14 million in 2017 to more than 23 million in 2024, (+67%). Among interventions for families, interventions dedicated to minors for prevention and treatment are innovativepsychological weakness.

Welfare for employees and families

Ebipro finances performance and services aimed at improving quality of work and welfare employees, intervene in the social, training and family areas. The range of its actions is expanding: from reimbursement of school books to payments university feesfrom contributions to sports activities to public transport. Thanks to the strengthening of bilateralism, supported by the renewal of the contract in 2024, «the agency – explains the Free Professions Observatory – has introduced three guarantees in addition to the existing ones: reimbursement of the costs of summer camps, incentives for the use of parental leave by fathers and single parents as well as integration of INPS companion benefits received by family members with severe disabilities”. Between 2017 and 2024, the number of workers receiving these guaranteed benefits will increase, from around 3 thousand people to almost 30 thousand people.

Training and retraining

Finally, the contract system provides a “help desk” for employers and their employees professional training and retraining. The tool is Fondoprofessioni: the 0.30 contribution is included when paid to INPS, therefore employers only need to activate the option to access the service. Fondoprofessioni is dedicated to learning but also enrolls among its members micro businessbecause the initiative is directed and modeled based on the needs of small-scale economic realities. 93% of structures registered with the IMF employ between one and nine employees and about 70% do not exceed three employees. However, there is a gradual arrangement of larger studios/companies.
