The President of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), Peter Adrian, called on the Federal Government to take decisive reform measures before the general debate in the Bundestag. “The challenges facing our country are enormous,” Adrian told the Funke media group newspaper. “We can only make our country ready for the future through bold reforms for greater growth, investment and innovation.”
However, the 2026 federal budget does not adequately reflect this. “If we stay on the current path, we will lose room for maneuver, a burden that the economy and society cannot afford in the long term.”
