Chef José Andrés, who has lived in the United States for years, participated on Tuesday The anthill to promote one of his books. In his interview, the audience leader, obtaining almost two million viewers on average and an audience share of 15% for Antena 3, once again attacked Donald Trump.

A few weeks ago, the chef and humanitarian activist had defined the immigration policy of the president of the United States as “the capture of planet of the apes”, in his speech on the Catalan radio program Mondays at RAC1.

During his time at The anthillPablo Motos asked him about the matter again. “I am an emigrant. I have been one in my country, when I arrived in Catalonia from Asturias, and outside it. There are ways and ways to control immigration. And the way Trump does it has no place in the 21st century”, commented José Andrés. And he used an argument that could well be applied to other countries like Spain: “The majority are good people, who contribute. The fact that some are bad cannot have an impact on the majority of people who work hard and are good people.”

The Asturian organization, World Central Kitchen, helped the food reach people affected by DANA in Valencia. “There could be another DANA and the works have not yet been approved so that the rivers do not overflow again, the same thing could happen again,” he lamented.

His NGO also intervened in the Gaza conflict, helping both Palestinian and Israeli civilians. “The facts and actions of a few cannot attribute responsibility to the majority,” the chef explained on the Antena 3 programme.

After discussing all these topics, José Andrés ironically lashed out at Pablo Motos: “But isn’t it a comedy show?”
