“The silence must end”urged the families of children who have filed complaints of sexual abuse in after-school activities in Paris. “Our children have borne the consequences of this failure. On the other hand, there is still time, and it is our shared responsibility, to protect children who are still in the after-school environment.”wrote the parents in a press release published Tuesday, November 25 evening. They called for mobilization “total and transparent” regarding these cases of violence and harassment. “We also call for a meeting with the prosecutor’s office to obtain input regarding the ongoing investigation and prosecution plans.”added the family, represented by lawyer Arié Alimi.
“The public prosecutor and the city government in general do not appear to be taking full action in addressing this issue,” still readable. “We’re talking about the rape and sexual abuse of children as young as three. We’re talking about trauma that scars them for life. We’re talking about families plunged into agony knowing and understanding what might happen to their children.” Received on Tuesday by the Ministry of Justice, the families announced that they were requesting the creation of a parliamentary commission.with the scope of the investigation capable of covering the systemic dimensions of this sexual violence and abuse.”
