“I was devastated in a way no human can ever imagine.” Jennifer Hubbel is still in shock over the attack on her daughter, Madison Riley Hull, a 23-year-old student at the University of Texas. The young woman was fatally attacked by three dogs she kept, pit bulls, on Friday, November 21.

According to the sheriff’s office cited by the Tyler Morning Telegraph, the attack occurred around 4:15 p.m. in the backyard of a house in the city of Tyler, Texas. It was a neighbor asking for help. At the scene, one of the deputies “shot one of the dogs, killing it,” Sergeant Larry Christian told KYTX.

“He is light, goodness”

“My beautiful, loving, full of life, free-spirited daughter was killed in a sudden and vicious dog attack,” the student’s mother wrote in a description of the fund intended to help defray funeral costs. Madi is love, she is light, she is kind, she laughs, she is full of strength, in the most beautiful and disarming way. He loved life with all his heart. »

The young woman died six months before obtaining a diploma in early childhood education, her “vocation.” “Her students from kindergarten through CE2 adored her. She had a gift for making every child feel safe, special and loved,” explains Jennifer Hubbel.

Madison, who previously babysat the children of pit bull owners, thought that caring for the animals “wasn’t a problem,” according to her mother. A court hearing is scheduled to be held Wednesday to decide the fate of the two surviving pit bulls.
