Here we go again for 25 years. Elected officials of the Syndicat Intercommunal de la Grande Plagne (SIGP) this Tuesday renewed the Société d’Aménagement de la Plagne (SAP), a 98% subsidiary of the Compagnie des Alpes (CDA), as the public service delegation of the Grande Plagne ski lifts, starting June 2027.
“ This is definitely great news, reaction David Ponson, ski area director at CDA, contacted by La Tribune. It is a source of pride to see the renewed confidence of elected officials, especially as La Plagne has been part of our coverage almost since the founding of the Compagnie des Alpes.” News that offsets the losses announced last August on the operation of the Tignes (Savoie) ski area – after 35 years of operation -, following the decision, by the municipal council of the commune, on the creation of a local public company (SPL) for the management of the operation of the resort.
