Several people were hit by gunfire within a block of the White House. CNN reported it. Three people were hospitalized. Two of those affected were members of the National Guard, A where it was poured into critical condition. A suspect has been arrested
“The White House is aware of and monitoring this tragic situation.” Spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said this about the shooting a block from the White House, saying that Donald Trump “had been notified.”
In August, Donald Trump decided to deploy some 2,000 National Guard troops to America’s capital to “fight crime” in the city.
In November the mandate was extended until February. So far there have been no incidents or clashes between residents and the National Guard.
