The Nerazzurri had an unfortunate goal scored by Julian Alvarez in the first half, marred by a possible touch from Simeone, but found the strength to react in the second half. First with Barella’s crossbar and then with a great move leading to Zielinski’s goal. Chivu’s side controlled the match for long periods, building up numerous chances, but, as is often the case in the final period, they were mocked at their opponents’ first real chance and missed the chance to take home a valuable point.
