BBVA focuses on the young customer with 46.3% more digital registrations | Companies

BBVA puts the younger customer in the spotlight. Through September, digital customer registrations in this segment increased by 46.3%. This is based on the bank’s renewal of the offer for these customers.

All customers under 30 can enjoy a completely free and 100% digital account, with free cards and the ability to open second accounts at no cost to manage their finances individually or jointly, regardless of the age of the co-owner. Furthermore, when you travel abroad, your card includes at no additional cost the “Standard Travel Package”, which allows you to operate without commissions outside Spain and without limits on transactions or amounts, even on weekends, and three ATM withdrawals per month.

Likewise, it has also made available investment funds designed for different categories of customers, including young people, with training included and a bonus of up to 300 euros gross in case of negative profitability in the first year of investment. The new app, launched by the institution last spring, allows you to create sections such as a digital piggy bank, as well as rewarding customers who manage to set aside part of their usual and recurring income with a savings remuneration of 6%. At the end of each month, the bank will bonus the money taken from your paycheck, pension or unemployment benefit up to a maximum of 20 euros per month for 3 months.

Another of the products that BBVA has focused on young customers is crypto assets. It was the first credit institution in Spain to offer the sale and custody of bitcoin and ether with the authorization of the CNMV, in compliance with the new European legislation on the matter (MiCA). Since its launch, 20% of BBVA cryptoasset investors are under 30 years old.

Finally, as regards access to a home, they offer mortgages up to 95% of the value of the property without opening costs or notary, agency or registration fees. Currently more than a third of the mortgages taken out at the institution correspond to customers under the age of 35. Furthermore, together with the 95% youth campaign, BBVA also supports young people through the ICO guarantee program for young people and families.

Another novelty of the new BBVA application is the role of artificial intelligence. It allows each customer to organize the application differently depending on their habits. It also offers a virtual assistant, called Blue, as well as a financial coach, who analyzes your financial situation and proposes concrete actions with the intention of helping you improve your personal finances.
