At a time when cities are reinventing themselves and sustainability becomes a driver of change, vertical mobility is undergoing a necessary transformation. The international elevator company TK Elevator stands out as a point of reference in the sector thanks to its strong presence in Spain and its commitment to the national market.

In a country trying to reinvent its industry and where cities are moving towards more vertical and sustainable models, keeping the value chain intact in Spain is a strategic bet. From design and manufacturing to local technical service, this vision reinforces the company as a key player in the Spanish industrial economy. Its mobility solutions, present in more than 100 countries, demonstrate how local innovation can be strongly projected on the global stage.

TK Elevator has four factories in Spain – for elevators, in Móstoles (Madrid) and Andoain (Guipúzcoa), and for escalators and boarding bridges, in Mieres, Asturias – a logistics center in San Fernando de Henares (Madrid) and a research, development and innovation center in Gijón, a true engine of innovation.

Technology at the service of people

Behind the history of success and leadership of TK Elevator, Spain plays a transcendental role. The company has four factories in Spain – for elevators in Móstoles (Madrid) and Andoain (Guipúzcoa), and for escalators and boarding bridges, in Mieres (Asturias) – a logistics center in San Fernando de Henares (Madrid) and a research, development and innovation center in Gijón, a true engine of innovation. From the four production facilities and the innovation center, technological developments and industrial advances have been created that have transcended borders. This core of activity not only enhanced the local competitiveness of each plant, but was also the origin of innovative solutions that are today applied in markets all over the world. Every project, every process improvement, every new product born in the Production and R&D&I Centers carries with it the seal of excellence and global vision, transforming these cities into international points of reference in industrial innovation.

Thanks to its strong capacity for innovation, its new line of EOX elevators stands out, committed to digitalization and energy saving, symbolizing technological progress and demonstrating an example of the industrial leadership that the country exercises in intelligent mobility solutions. Designed to meet the challenges of energy efficiency, universal accessibility and digitalisation, its regenerative traction system allows for energy savings of up to 45%, while the “eco” mode dynamically adjusts its behavior to optimize consumption.

Not only are their elevators sustainable, the energy used in all European factories comes from 100% renewable sources and priority is given to the use of recycled materials, thus reducing the carbon footprint.

Digitally, EOX is a ‘digital native’ elevator with sensors, cloud diagnostics, multimedia screens in the cabin and the ability to call via the application. This connectivity enables intelligent remote management, enhanced security, and a more convenient and seamless user experience.

The company’s history in Spain dates back to 1985, but its growth has been sustained and continues, to become an international company with deep local roots.

This type of elevator is designed to adapt not only to the new construction market, but also to modernization projects of existing elevators, or to install them in buildings that do not yet have them. And here lies one of the great challenges of accessibility in our country: in Spain it is necessary to replace 400,000 elevators that are more than 30 years old, or install new ones for the five million people who live in buildings without elevators, many of them older or with reduced mobility.

Spanish talent that moves the world

With more than 50,000 employees worldwide, including 25,000 service technicians, TK Elevator relies on stable and highly trained teams. In Spain alone, the company has a network of over 70 branches spread across the national territory focused on providing a quality, close, agile and personalized service. Also noteworthy is its Contact Center, located in its headquarters in Madrid, with professionals with over 20 years of experience.

The history of TK Elevator in Spain dates back to 1985, but its growth has been sustained and continues, to become an international company with deep local roots. This balance between Spanish industrial pride and international projection is also reflected in its portfolio of projects.

At a national level the company is present in all sectors such as large infrastructures such as subways, railway stations, ports or airports, as well as hospitals, hotels, theatres, offices and residential buildings. TK Elevator is also a pioneer in urban accessibility with elevators, escalators and outdoor moving walkways in cities such as, for example, the Montjuit stairs and those of the Col neighborhood in Barcelona, the Toledo escalators, the Santander moving walks, the Echavacoiz elevator in Pamplona or the Iznájar elevator in Córdoba or the Gran Vía ramps in Vigo, among others.

Internationally, their footprint is present in places as diverse as the Al-Haram Grand Mosque in Saudi Arabia, the Melbourne Metro in Australia, Denver International Airport in the United States and Kuwait, where they have provided 55 boarding bridges.

TK Elevator’s innovation is not born in Silicon Valley or Tokyo, but largely in Spain, in its research and development center in Gijón, located in the famous Universidad Laboral, where technical talent, business vision and commitment to sustainability have come together to redefine vertical transportation for the 21st century.

A predictive maintenance system

TK Elevator guarantees a complete service that includes the design, installation, assembly, modernization and maintenance service of elevators, escalators, moving walkways, freight elevators, lifting platforms, garage and pedestrian doors and stage equipment. Additionally, the company offers maintenance for any brand, which positions it as one of the most versatile in the industry.

One of its most important tools is MAX, its predictive maintenance system based on IoT (Internet of Things) connectivity. Thanks to remote and real-time monitoring, MAX allows you to anticipate possible incidents and keep equipment in optimal conditions, improving availability and reducing costs.
